“Just Do It” – It’s Now 2.28AM & I Finally Did What I Thought Would Take Weeks In 3.5 Hours!

It’s 2.28AM and I just finished writing a sales page for a niche product I created 50/50 with a friend of mine.
Why am I telling you this? Good question haha
I’ve been putting off writing the sales page for a few weeks now constantly rationalizing I need to watch the whole ‘conversion summit’ seminar from Eben Pagan’s guru mastermind course. I’ve watched about a third of it and it’s great content, but something just snapped and I said to myself “F*** it. Just do it!”
So I started writing at 11pm and because I wasn’t distracted, I focused purely on pumping out this sales letter and just getting it done. I accept that it’s not going to be perfect and it’ll have lot’s of things that can be improved, but damn it as soon as it’s finished I’ll be able to start a PPC campaign and actually start getting a result. Right now the sales page is about 90% done and just needs some polishing up which I will finish tomorrow, but the core part is done. I’m actually surprised because I thought this would take me weeks, but I did it all myself in only a matter of hours.
The Action Lesson I want to share is, if you’ve been putting off something important because you don’t think you’re ‘good enough’, or you’re ‘not ready yet’ – put those excuses aside and do what you’ve been avoiding.
An interesting quote I heard that helped me do this was:
If somethings worth doing, it’s worth doing poorly
Don’t get the wrong impression, it doesn’t mean offer crappy service or content. It simply means that if this is something you’ve never done before or a first draft, just get something done and accept that you’re going to do it poorly – but at least you’ll have it done. And after it’s done and generating results, you can always optimize it later. Another quote that really struck a chord with me and one I try to live by daily is:
Don’t strive for perfection, strive for excellence
And finally, JUST DO IT!

Cool Add.
Yeah I was talking to kyle the other day and he was saying it only takes him a couple hours to write a sales letter.
Interesting when you put your mind to it.
